In March 2025, I spent a week in the village of Detad, nestled in the Amreli district of Gujarat, observing and documenting the everyday occupations of its people. This journey became a deep dive into rhythms shaped by land, labor, and local knowledge. From farmers tending to cotton fields to artisans quietly perfecting their craft, I listened, sketched, photographed, and asked questions and made a document with all of them.
